In a statement, the association’s President DaifAllah Abu Aqouleh said that imposing fees, along with an additional JD200 after halting a back-to-back shipment protocol, has held up a number of trucks heading from Jordan to Syria due to confusing procedures at the border.
Abu Aqoula called on Jordanian and Syrian authorities to simplify procedures, cancel fees imposed on trucks, and fully reimplement a memorandum of understanding previously agreed to between the two countries, in order to facilitate and improve trade exchange.
