AMMAN —
Forbes Middle East unveiled the Global Meet Local list for the 10th consecutive
year, reviewing the most powerful CEOs leading the 50 regional offices, among
the top 2,000 public companies worldwide on the Global 2000 list, according to
Khaberni News.

The list included
global companies that have direct and significant business operations in the
Middle East and North Africa, according to a press statement.
Senior executive leaders at regional headquarters were classified based
on several factors: the influence of the executive leader in the region, the
markets, the volume of business, the achievements, and performance of the
executive leader. Their experience in the current position, and their overall
experience was also considered.
The year’s list
includes 51 CEOs of 27 nationalities.
The technology
sector dominates this year’s list with 13 companies, followed by the banking,
food and beverages, medicines and, automobiles sectors with four companies per
sector.
Jordanian Loaai
Al-Shourafa ranked 14 on the list, as General Motors Company’s president and
general-director of operations in Africa and the Middle East sector.
Another Jordanian CEO made
it on the list as well Farah Hamdan came 47th as the CEO of Zimmer Biomet.
