AMMAN — MakanE, the largest platform in Jordan for creating e-stores, business growth, and e-commerce, welcomed in its offices a delegation from the US Embassy, including US ambassador to Jordan, Henry Wooster, accompanied by Kevin Skillin, the economic adviser, and Yasmine Abu Hijleh, the economic assistant at the US Embassy in Amman.
The ambassador and the accompanying
delegation were received by Rami Al-Qawasmi, Muhammad Jabr, Omar Qudsi, and
Abeer Qumsiyeh. The MakanE team provided a detailed explanation of the
operational processes and how the MakanE platform aims to provide the economy
with thriving e-commerce experiences for merchants, and provide e-commerce
sites for companies and how to develop them, according to a press statement.
Wooster met
with many of the merchants who attended the visit to learn how the operations
are going from the perspective of the merchants using e-commerce solutions from
MakanE, and to enhance its mechanism of action and the progress of its ground operations.
The ambassador
expressed his admiration for the implementation mechanism of the operational
processes of MakanE’s team, and the innovative general vision of the company,
and stated: “It is impressive to have this type of project and platform in
Jordan. It is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs and merchants to benefit
from a smart idea that has become an existing project that serves many
entrepreneurs in the region.”
“We will
continue our support for innovative projects in Jordan, and our visit today is
an indication of this support for what this company is doing,” he said.
MakanE’s
Board of Directors Chairman Qawasmi, expressed his happiness with this visit,
and said: “It is our pleasure at MakanE to receive the honorable delegation, as
the success of our business culminates in the support of those interested in
the new era and digital transformation, which will soon be a language of
communication, life and integrated work. We will complete what we started with
