AMMAN — Yemen’s national air
carrier Yemenia will be operating direct flights between Amman and Sanaa as of July
6, following approval by the Jordanian side.

Chief
Commissioner of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission Captain Haitham Misto,
said the decision was in view of Yemen's prolonged armistice, Al-Mamlaka TV
reported on Saturday.
Misto said
that Yemenia has requested to be allowed to start operating flights between
Amman and Sanaa from July 6 to July 29.
In May, 12 flights were operated
between Sanaa and Amman by eight planes that carried 1,164 passengers to Jordan
and 933 to Yemen.
