AMMAN — The
Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC),
in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, the UNDP, and the UN World
Food Program, launched the 2022 Climate Change Hackathon, according to
the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

A Zain statement on Sunday said the hackathon aims
to find innovative solutions to current environmental challenges confronting
Jordan and the rest of the world in agriculture, energy, water, and solid waste
by leveraging artificial intelligence and digital fabrication technologies.
On its social media accounts, ZINC announced that
registration is open until July 20, inviting start-up owners, institutions,
environmental organizations, and technology experts to participate.
The hackathon will kick off on July 21 and remain
until Saturday evening, July 30, at ZINC, located at the King Hussein Business
Park.
At the end of the hackathon, a panel of judges will select a
number of innovative and outstanding solutions to receive financial support
from ZINC in order to put those ideas into action.
