Head of the Jordan Group for Free and Development Zones (Develop Jordan) Khalaf
Al-Hmesat said that the projects draw on the best international designs in the
field of industrial, commercial, and service investment to meet the
requirements of Jordanian and foreign investors.
Hmesat also highlighted the efforts of the group’s administration to implement
the
Royal Message for economic modernization through projects in free and developmental zones.
The group’s Director-General Abdul Hameed Gharaibeh said that the free zones’
administration constructed and activated the desalination plant, and a new well
within the Zarqa Free Zone to maintain a continued supply for the main
reservoirs, compensating for a water shortage at the free zone.
The well will provide the zone with approximately 3,060 cubic meters of water
weekly.
The cost of the projects, including a public warehouse redevelopment project,
an alternative energy project, and others, is estimated at JD2.5 million.
This also covers a number of projects scheduled to be completed in 2023 at public
free zones and the Queen Alia International Airport Free Zone.
