‘eFAWATEERcom’ receives JD866m in payments during December

AMMAN — In December, the “eFAWATEERcom” online payment system recorded around JD866 million worth of bill payment transactions, the highest amount recorded during 2020, according to Al-Ghad News. اضافة اعلان

The amount includes bills paid by subscribers to various sectors, including electricity, water, telecommunication, and other government services.

Recent data released by the Jordan Central Bank showed that the amount paid via the online payment platform saw an increase of JD126 million and a rise of 17 percent compared to the same period last year.

“eFAWATEERcom” is a bill payment service supported by the Jordan Central Bank, which connects banks operating in Jordan with bill-based entities to facilitate bills payment through several channels, including ATMs, Internet banking, and cell phone.
