The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j) has praised the Cabinet’s decision, which approved the rationale for a draft amendment to the system of exempting export profits from income tax for goods and services for the year 2024. This decision, int@j noted, reflects the government's vision of supporting the growth of the digital economy and bolstering Jordan's position as a key destination for exporting technical and consulting services.

int@j expressed its gratitude to the government’s economic team for its efforts in adopting this decision, which benefits Jordanian companies and increases their competitiveness. The association also highlighted that this decision will increase investor interest in investing in Jordan and utilizing it as a gateway to the region and the world.
In a press release today, int@j explained that exempting profits from various service exports, including IT services, legal consulting, engineering, and accounting, represents a pivotal step in enhancing the competitiveness of Jordanian companies in global markets.
int@j pointed out that the amended regulations & procedures will enable companies to boost their export capacities by offering high-quality services that keep pace with the latest global developments, opening new horizons for expansion and growth.
The association emphasized that this decision reduces the financial burden on companies, as exempting profits from exports allows them to allocate additional resources for reinvesting in the development of their products and services.
int@j also stated that this exemption provides companies with greater flexibility to adapt to the rapid changes in the global market, enhancing their ability to compete and deliver innovative services that align with market demands.
The association affirmed that this direction reflects the government’s commitment to providing a supportive business environment for investment and innovation, strengthening Jordan’s appeal as a regional hub for international arbitration and digital services. It also contributes to enhancing employment opportunities for Jordanian youth, as increased exports will require the hiring of local talents capable of executing growing projects in fields like IT, digital marketing, and television production.
