The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j) successfully held the inaugural meeting of the "AI Enthusiasts of Jordan" (AI-EJO) initiative, which aims to strengthen the AI ecosystem in Jordan by building a community of AI professionals, enthusiasts, academics, and students. The meeting saw participation from a diverse group of individuals interested in AI from various sectors.

The meeting began with an introduction to the initiative and its primary objectives, which include Educational Outreach to provide a foundational understanding of AI technologies to members and the broader community, Knowledge Exchange by facilitating the sharing of the latest AI research trends and industry applications among members, Skill Development through offering a space for members to develop practical AI skills through peer-to-peer learning and mentorship, Networking towards building a professional network of AI practitioners, fostering opportunities for collaboration and employment, Innovation Promotion whereby AI-EJO shall include brainstorming and incubating AI-driven projects that can contribute to Jordan's technological advancement, and Encouraging AI Adoption through elevating the use of AI technologies by discussing how businesses and professionals can integrate AI into their operations, from initial implementation to advanced usage.
During the meeting, the structure of future sessions was outlined, with plans to hold monthly meetings to discuss specific AI topics. A moderator will be nominated for each session to ensure maximum engagement and knowledge transfer. Some of the topics to be discussed include "Introduction to AI & Machine Learning," "Data Science and AI," "AI in Business and Industry," "Natural Language Processing," and "AI Policy and Ethics."
int@j also encouraged all members to join the AI-EJO LinkedIn group, where they can engage in continuous interaction, share ideas, and stay updated on the latest developments in the field of AI.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors at int@j, Amjad Swais, emphasized the importance of this initiative in enhancing local capabilities and deepening the understanding of artificial intelligence technologies. He pointed out that int@j believes in the importance of developing national human resources to keep pace with technological advancements and AI applications. He noted that this meeting is just the beginning, as we aim to organize more events that support this direction and contribute to building a distinguished tech community capable of keeping up with global developments.
Swais also invited all interested individuals in Jordan to join the initiative’s dedicated group on LinkedIn, where they can continuously interact, share ideas, and stay updated on the latest developments.
This initiative is part of int@j's efforts to promote innovation and technology in Jordan, and through these meetings, the association seeks to build a strong and cohesive community capable of driving progress in the field of artificial intelligence.
