During the ceremony, the envoy announced Austrian funding to support the launch
of 7Hills' Urban Education Program, a press statement by the Austrian embassy
said.
The embassy stated that Intercultural Achievement Award is a key project of the
Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs. The award
honors successful and innovative civil society projects that identify and make
use of opportunities that positively shape intercultural co-existence and
interreligious dialogue, it added.
In support of 7Hills’ mission and activities, Wustinger announced Austrian
funding to the "Urban Education Program" for six months. This program
combines free skateboarding classes followed by arts and crafts sessions for
youths between 6–20 years old in an effort to actively include girls and
refugees.
The next call for applications for the Austrian IAA will be launched in January
2022. Applications will be open to non-profit and commercial organizations from
Jordan, the embassy pointed out.
