Our mission is not just to maintain the turf grass but to cultivate a new generation of skilled professionals in a field that is just beginning to shine in Jordan: golf course maintenance.
We are especially proud to be pioneering this effort by offering these opportunities to the local people, and in particular, to women of Aqaba.
It’s no secret that working in such an environment is challenging for women in this community.
But at Ayla, we believe in the power and capability of women.
We see beyond the traditional roles and are committed to nurturing the potential within.
We’ve watched with pride as the seeds of courage and confidence we planted have blossomed into something truly remarkable.
One shining example of this is Taqwa Ali Yousef Al-Deghemat, a young woman from Aqaba’s Old City Area.
Born in December 25, 2000, Taqwa has always had a spirit of resilience. As the eldest of five siblings, she has supported her family while dreaming of furthering her education.
When she first joined our team, Taqwa had no experience in golf or turf grass maintenance.
But we saw her potential and offered her a chance to join our comprehensive training program.
With determination and hard work, Taqwa quickly mastered the skills required for the job.
She went from not having any experience in the golf or turf maintenance to expertly handling the Green Master 7000 machine—a crucial and the biggest ride on equipment in our fleet of golf course maintenance machinery.
It’s a powerful reminder that when women are given the right opportunities—along with equitable training, guidance, and the proper tools—they can develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in even the most unconventional fields.
Taqwa’s story is not just about personal growth; it’s about breaking barriers and opening doors for others in her community.
She has steadily advanced from basic tasks to more complex responsibilities, proving her capability and determination.
While she continues to build her skills, Taqwa remains a dedicated and valued member of our team, representing a new wave of local talent in Aqaba’s emerging golf industry.
At Ayla Golf, we believe that every seed we plant has the potential to grow into something beautiful.
By giving local women like Taqwa the skills and opportunities they need, we are not just maintaining a golf course—we are cultivating a brighter futu
