AMMAN — A breast cancer screening program concluded on Monday in the district of Al-Ardah at the Family Festival for the Early Detection of Breast Cancer, which was organized by the
King Hussein Cancer Foundation and funded by the
EU.

The festival included a set of paragraphs and activities, including a free clinical examination, medical and nutritional advice, a display of handicraft and household products for female entrepreneurs, a puppet theater, a storyteller, and competitions for children.
The program seeks to reach remote areas in the governorates of the Kingdom in order to raise awareness on the importance of early detection, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The Director of the Al-Ardah District, Zakaria Al-Duwairi, stressed the importance of the program and preserving the health of society and women in particular.
Duwairi said that Jordan is striving to provide all forms of basic services to citizens, especially healthcare.
