Zarqa – Participants in the Cultural Dialogue Forum for Initiatives and Community Service, held last night at the Naya Community Network Center in Zarqa, recommended the establishment of a tourism and heritage incubator under the center's umbrella to support emerging projects in this sector.

The forum was attended by representatives from the Hashemite University, experts in heritage and training, and volunteers engaged in community initiatives.
The participants emphasized the importance of launching more tourism and heritage initiatives to strengthen the cultural identity of the governorate, as well as training and empowering young professionals to advance developmental projects. They also recommended organizing a specialized training course for tour guides to enhance the tourism sector.
During a distinguished panel discussion, Dr. Mohammad Waheeb, a professor of archaeology at the Hashemite University, presented a visual lecture titled "Tourism Incubators in Zarqa." He highlighted the initiative to establish a tourism incubator at the Naya Network Center, aimed at supporting heritage projects, creating job opportunities for graduates, and utilizing artificial intelligence technologies to boost tourism. He also stressed the need for institutional cooperation in establishing museums and visitor centers to develop the tourism sector.
In his remarks, Raafat Badran, Director of the Naya Network Center, underscored the importance of developmental and cultural achievements in Zarqa and the center's role in training and empowering youth to engage in creative and developmental work.
Similarly, Dr. Mohammad Nafi, Director of the Otwa Training and Rehabilitation Center, emphasized the necessity of building strong institutional foundations to develop and qualify the tourism sector in Zarqa. He stressed that collaboration between the public and private sectors is key to achieving tangible and sustainable results.
The forum also showcased youth-led initiatives, including a presentation by two volunteers from the Naya Center on a project to develop tourism in the Al-Alouk area. They detailed the progress made so far and the project's future vision.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion, focusing on enhancing tourism and heritage in Zarqa through practical initiatives and developmental projects that leverage modern technology and community partnerships, painting an ambitious vision for the future of the tourism sector in the governorate.
