According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is expected in most regions, with thunderstorms and hail in some areas, increasing the risk of flash floods and rising water levels in valleys and low-lying areas, including the Dead Sea region.

The department reported that light snowfall, occasionally mixed with rain, is anticipated over high mountain areas exceeding 1,100 meters above sea level, with limited accumulation possible in the southern highlands, particularly in the Sharah mountains. Strong northwesterly winds, with gusts exceeding 80 km/h in certain areas, are also expected to cause dust storms in desert regions. By evening, precipitation is forecast to weaken, and wind speeds are expected to gradually decrease.

The department warned of several hazards, including the risk of flash floods in western Jordan, strong wind gusts, reduced visibility due to dust in desert areas, low visibility from low-hanging clouds in mountainous regions, slippery roads, and the potential for falling unsecured objects.

On Friday, temperatures are expected to rise slightly, with cold and partly cloudy conditions prevailing across most areas. Light rain may occur intermittently in western parts of the country, while northwesterly winds will be moderate, occasionally becoming active.

A further slight increase in temperatures is expected on Saturday, with cold weather persisting in most areas and mild conditions in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Low clouds are forecast, and moderate northwesterly winds will prevail.

By Sunday, temperatures are set to rise again, with cold conditions continuing across most of the country. The Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience milder temperatures, accompanied by medium- and high-altitude clouds. Winds will shift from moderate southeasterly to southwesterly in the evening.

Maximum and minimum temperatures for Thursday are expected to range between 8 C and 2 C in eastern Amman, 6 C and 0 C in western Amman, 5 C and 0 C in the northern highlands, and 4 C and -1 C in the Sharah Mountains. In the Badia regions, temperatures will range from 11 C to 1 C, while the plains will see 9 C to 2 C. The northern Jordan Valley is forecast to record 15 C to 5 C, the southern Jordan Valley 19 C to 8 C, the Dead Sea 17 C to 7 C, and Aqaba 20 C to 8 C.
