Directorate honors poet, filmmaker

AQABA — The Aqaba Culture Directorate on Wednesday honored poet Omar Al-Momani and filmmaker, Rajaa Yassin, as part of the directories efforts honor young crteators and motivate them. This came during a ceremony held in Aqaba. Director of Aqaba’s Culture Directorate, Tariq Al-Bdour, said in a press statement that honoring creators in Aqaba is part of the directorate’s annual plan to shed light on creators.اضافة اعلان

Bdour said that Omar Al-Momani was honored for his work and for being a model father, writer, and poet. Yassin was honored for her success in publishing a collection of fictional stories and for her work in short films. Yassin has previously produced a film about Momani, which won the European Film Festival’s Short Film Competition, according to the statement.
