The Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) has approved and recommended to the Cabinet a package of incentives, tax exemptions, and fee waivers, including the clearance of past financial obligations owed to ASEZA.

These measures target the real estate, tourism, and commercial sectors, aiming to provide comprehensive solutions and resolve long-standing issues within a set timeframe.
This decision aligns with ASEZA’s vision of enhancing quality of life and stimulating economic activity by facilitating the correction of previous sectoral imbalances. After the deadline, strict enforcement of regulations and laws will be ensured, with no further violations permitted in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone.
Additionally, the Board of Commissioners has decided to support several associations and civil society organizations that provide specialized initiatives for individuals with hearing and visual impairments, as well as those suffering from rare diseases.
This decision reflects ASEZA’s commitment to social responsibility by empowering civil society organizations to deliver better services to citizens, particularly those with disabilities. The goal is to integrate them into society, contributing to ASEZA’s broader vision and objectives for the local community.
