Elementary school hosts reading event

AMMAN — The “Irbid Read” initiative on Sunday, in cooperation with Kasbah District’s Directorate of Education, organized a cultural day at Al-Bayada Mixed Elementary School. اضافة اعلان

The school principal, Sherine Mansour, gave a welcoming speech in which she thanked the members of the “Irbid Read” initiative for organizing the cultural day, which aims to spread science and knowledge among students.

A group of fifth and seventh-grade students presented several pieces during the event, including poems about the Arabic language. Writer Ghada Al-Azzam also read a group of selected stories, and a group of students read some expressive short stories, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

At the end of the cultural day, a comprehensive discussion and dialogue took place with students, during which the necessity and importance of face-to-face education and the role of teachers in conveying knowledge to students were held. The members of the initiative presented and distributed some stories and children’s books to all of the students.
