Environment Ministry receives recon drone

AMMAN — On Wednesday, the Ministry of Environment received a drone from the Royal Administration for Environmental Protection and Tourism, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. اضافة اعلان

The drone was given to the administration by the Austria Environmental Protection Agency to help aid in a program monitoring waste systems, according to the Jordan News, Agency, Petra. 

According to Mohammed Al-Khashashneh, secretary general of the ministry, the project is part of the ministry’s efforts and cooperation with its partners and stakeholders to improve monitoring capabilities of waste management through a national system designed for this purpose. 

Khashashneh told Petra that the drone will improve waste monitoring at landfills in Jordan.
