AMMAN — Institute For Family Health affiliated
with the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) organized a free medical day for
persons with disabilities on Saturday, cooperating with the Higher Council for
the Rights of Persons with
Disabilities, according to the Jordan News Agency,
Petra.

About 100 participants and their families took part in
the medical day, which aimed at boosting the health level of the social
community and enhance the services provided for persons with disabilities.
The institute’s technical director Osama Samawi stated
that the event included consulting physicians, therapy sessions, diabetes
tests, blood pressure checks, optical diagnosis, early detection of breast
cancer, dental examinations, and nutrition services, among other medical
services.
The medical day also included various events for
children, such as marching on the Paralympics Committee pitch area, writing
encouraging posters, and several educational games.
