AMMAN — An initiative called “Irbid Reads” wrapped-up a free course on public speaking on Saturday at Irbid City Hall, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
International trainer Sami Dwaikat spoke on the science of rhetoric and the advancement of speech, noting that the goal of speech is not just to simply organize words but to influence recipients in a stylized and beautiful manner.
Sheikh Ali Al-Rashed Al-Waqfi expressed his support for supporting culture in the governorate, indicating that preparations to celebrate Irbid being named the Arab capital of culture for 2022, require concerted efforts from all.
The head of the “Irbid Read” initiative, Mahmoud Al-Alawna, said that Arabs are the people of language and eloquence.
At the end of the course, certificates were distributed to the participants, and women active in the educational, media, and social fields from Irbid Governorate were honored.
