On Saturday, the Municipality of Rehab welcomed the first tourist train journey, organized in cooperation with the Jordan Hijaz Railway Corporation and "Wud Tourism Association," as part of efforts to boost domestic tourism and revive national heritage.

Akrm Al-Haranshah, Mayor of Rehab, emphasized that the trip aims to introduce visitors to the landmarks and archaeological sites of Rehab. He noted that this marks the beginning of a collaboration between the Corporation and the Municipality to establish Rehab as a tourist destination along the train route.
Dr. Zahi Khalil, Director of the Corporation, praised the municipality’s efforts in organizing and hosting the visitors, expressing his appreciation to everyone involved in making this first train visit to the historic site a success.
The journey included field visits along Rehab’s tourist trail, featuring ancient churches and historical mosaic pieces that the area is renowned for—important testaments to Jordan's religious and cultural diversity. A local bazaar was also organized, showcasing traditional food and handicrafts.
The Municipality of Rehab continues to work toward enhancing the area's position on the national tourism map and attracting more visitors to enjoy its rich archaeological and cultural heritage.
