Huneifat announced the successful generation of nearly 5700 jobs in the agricultural sector recently. Local production is now capable of satisfying an impressive 90 percent of the
demand for flowers and ornamental seedlings in Jordan. Of the total demand for 50 million flowers annually, Jordan proudly contributes a substantial 45 million.

Elevated local production levels have led to significant economic advantages, with savings of roughly JD25 million in import costs. Furthermore, this has facilitated the creation of jobs, particularly among the youth and women, who constitute the majority of employees in this sector. Such actions demonstrate a solid commitment towards rural women empowerment, according to the minister.
