The number of Qatari tourists visiting Jordan last year reached approximately 25,000, marking a 12% increase compared to 22,000 tourists in 2023.

Jordan has seen a growing influx of Qatari tourists in recent years, becoming a preferred destination for many due to its diverse natural and historical landmarks, as well as the warm hospitality extended by the Jordanian people.
Officials and workers in travel and tourism offices in Doha stated that the number of Qatari tourists visiting Jordan annually has shown continuous growth, driven by increased tourism activity between the two brotherly countries and the preference of many Qatari citizens for Jordan as a tourist destination, whether for annual vacations, short holidays during religious occasions such as Ramadan, or breaks between school terms.
Tourism and travel office officials emphasized that Jordan continuously attracts increasing numbers of Qatari tourists, along with many other Arab and foreign nationalities planning to spend their upcoming holidays in Jordan, or visit it for tourism purposes to explore its archaeological and natural sites.
Hassan Alam, the manager of one of the travel agencies operating in the Qatari market, confirmed that with the diversity of tourism in the Arab region, Jordan has become one of the preferred destinations for Qatari tourists, as it combines rich history, natural beauty, and warm hospitality.
He also pointed out that travel agencies and the service sector in the field of flight and hotel reservations in Qatar continuously experience high demand for bookings to Jordan. Many Qatari families prefer Jordan as their family tourism destination.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Al-Toum, a sales manager at a travel agency in Doha, mentioned that Jordan’s tourism advantage lies in the safety and security the country enjoys, along with its advanced tourism infrastructure, including facilities, hotels, and restaurants offering various options for visitors. Additionally, the moderate weather, especially during the summer, and the charming nature, breathtaking landscapes, and heritage, historical, and archaeological sites are major attractions.
Bashar Anton, who works in the reservations department of a travel agency in Doha, emphasized that Qatari citizens always view Jordan as more than just a tourist destination; it is a cultural and natural experience that leaves a lasting impact on visitors. With its diverse historical and natural offerings, Jordan remains a magnet for tourists from around the world, particularly from the Gulf countries, with which it shares strong cultural and brotherly ties.
