At the conclusion of their participation in Gulfood 2025, organized by the Jordan Exporters Association, manufacturers stated that international exhibitions are among the most effective tools that have enabled many Jordanian companies to secure commercial deals and supply their products to new, non-traditional markets such as North and South America, Europe, and Africa.

According to a statement from the association on Saturday, the Jordanian pavilion at the exhibition, which spanned 716 square meters, featured 36 Jordanian companies specializing in sectors such as meat and poultry, confectionery, baked goods, dairy, cheese, spices, coffee, and more.

They praised the significant efforts made by the Jordan Exporters Association to ensure the success of the Jordanian participation in the exhibition, including selecting a strategic location for the Jordanian pavilion, handling logistical preparations, and providing ongoing support to participants.

Jordanian Food Industry Expansion
Mohammad Waleed Al-Jaytan, representative of the food and livestock industry sector at the Jordan Chamber of Industry, emphasized the continuous Jordanian participation in Gulfood, noting that past participations have significantly increased national exports and facilitated their entry into new markets.

He highlighted ongoing coordination between the Chamber and the Exporters Association to expand the Jordanian pavilion in future editions of the exhibition. The goal is to enable Jordanian companies to promote their products, explore new markets, and stay updated on the latest food manufacturing innovations.

Al-Jaytan, who also serves as Vice President of the Chamber, stressed that participating in this specialized food industry exhibition helps in marketing Jordanian industries, showcasing their advancement and diversity, and creating business partnerships with suppliers, distributors, importers, and traders from around the world.

He further noted that Jordanian food industries have reached nearly 100 markets globally, thanks to their high quality and strong international reputation. He described international exhibitions as vital trade platforms where manufacturers and traders from different countries gather, providing a valuable opportunity to showcase products and demonstrate their quality to visitors.

According to Al-Jaytan, the food industry sector in Jordan comprises 2,500 establishments, employing around 60,000 workers, with over 90% being Jordanian nationals.

He reaffirmed the Jordan Chamber of Industry’s commitment to supporting the sector by providing various services and facilities that enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian companies in global markets. This includes overcoming business obstacles in cooperation with government entities, as well as supporting innovation and continuous improvement in production processes.

Role of International Exhibitions
Mahfouz Saeed, Director of Entrepreneurial Projects at the Jordan River Foundation, also highlighted the importance of international exhibitions in promoting national products and opening new markets.

The foundation participated in Gulfood through the Jordanian pavilion, showcasing products from its Karma Kitchen, which specializes in frozen food products and plays a key role in empowering women in the food industry.

Saeed noted that previous participation in the exhibition significantly contributed to securing new sales channels and appointing distributors for Karma Kitchen products across Gulf countries. He emphasized the crucial role of international exhibitions in expanding markets for Jordanian products and developing the national industry.

He also commended the Jordan Exporters Association for organizing Jordan’s participation in such exhibitions, enabling Jordanian companies to promote their products, and ensuring high-quality logistical preparations for the Jordanian pavilion.
