Governor Atoum stressed that water challenges require participatory efforts to confront them, starting from reducing waste, rationalizing consumption, and searching for new sources of water.
Atoum said that a special cell will be formed on the issue of water supply that includes
administrative governors, directors of water departments, and the private sector, to deal with the expected shortage of water for the citizens of each region, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Atoum called on citizens to understand that the shortage will require communal effort to overcome, and that reducing and regulating individual water usage will be vital in ensuring that families will have a suitable amount of water for the summer months.
