The Jordan Media Institute (JMI), in cooperation with the ministries of education and culture, and the Al-Hussein Fund for Creativity and Excellence, recently organized training workshops on media and information education.

The program trained
teachers and faculty members of universities, according to a JMI statement, which added that the project aims to spread the basic concepts of media and information literacy at schools and universities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Director of projects at JMI, Nourhan Shaqman, indicated that the project targets 540 teachers, male and female supervisors, distributed over the three regions of the Kingdom, in order to spread the knowledge they gained in the field.
The faculties targeted include
Journalism and media, computer and information technology, languages, libraries and documentation, and educational sciences. Nearly 200 teachers and supervisors have completed their training after several were held in various governorates of the Kingdom.
