The MoU aims to promote tourism exchange by coordinating efforts between relevant authorities in both countries and encouraging business events, including exhibitions and conferences that attract tourists.
Additionally, the Cabinet approved another MoU between the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation / Department of Statistics (DOS) in Jordan and the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in the United Kingdom. This agreement seeks to enhance statistical development and increase the exchange of statistical achievements between Jordan and the UK. It also focuses on data science techniques, big data utilization, and governance frameworks to improve public trust and data protection, as well as technical input for population and housing censuses and historical data sharing.
Furthermore, the Cabinet approved an MoU between the National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC) of Jordan and the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). This agreement includes an additional grant of £3 million to sustain cooperation with the NCSC, focusing on cybersecurity expertise exchange and the development of cybersecurity systems.
The MoU aims to strengthen cybersecurity collaboration, protect against cyber threats, and enhance digital security.
In a related decision, the Cabinet ratified the statute of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Labour Center. This move follows the decision made during the 3rd Islamic Conference of Ministers of Labour in Jakarta, Indonesia (2025), and the 43rd session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Uzbekistan (2016), which approved the center's statute.
