In a statement on Thursday, the JHCO confirmed that Jordan had previously sent (before the ceasefire agreement) more than 12,000 tents, bringing the total number of tents sent to the Strip to more than 74,000, as part of the relief efforts led by Jordan under royal directives.

JHCO's Secretary-General, Hussein Shibli, said that the estimated need for tents at first did not exceed 30,000, but after receiving the lists of needs on the ground, it became clear that there are more than 500,000 affected people in dire need of shelter.

Jordan has been at the forefront of supporting Gaza since the first moment, and has sent food, relief and medical supplies in various ways despite all the challenges and obstacles, believing in its duty towards its brothers in light of the harsh humanitarian conditions they are going through, Shibli added.
