The Jordanian pavilion at the exhibition was visited by the Indian Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who met with representatives from the Jordanian tourism sector and was introduced to the promotional offers presented by the Board.

The minister praised the unique tourism assets that Jordan offers, expressing interest in enhancing tourism cooperation between the two countries, especially in areas like wedding tourism, religious tourism, and cultural exchange.

The participation aimed to promote Jordan as a distinguished tourism destination, highlighting cultural and heritage tourism, as well as attracting Indian wedding planners, since Jordan offers ideal venues for such events, such as the Dead Sea, Petra, and Wadi Rum. The country was also showcased as a film location destination, with its unique natural landscapes competing with global filming locations.

The Jordanian pavilion attracted significant attention from exhibition visitors, especially after Royal Jordanian Airlines announced the launch of direct flights between Amman and Mumbai starting in April, which is expected to increase the flow of Indian tourists to the Kingdom, particularly those seeking unique experiences.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, and in conjunction with the participation of the Board, Jordan was awarded the "Best Cultural and Heritage Tourism Destination" award at the OTM Excellence Awards, in recognition of its unique position as a tourist destination that blends ancient civilizations with stunning nature.

The award was presented to the Jordan Tourism Board during an official ceremony at the exhibition, confirming this achievement. According to Arabiyat, this victory reflects the ongoing efforts by the Board to enhance Jordan's position on the global tourism map.

It is worth mentioning that last year, the Jordan Tourism Board organized a traveling exhibition in the Indian cities of Bangalore and Mumbai, with the presence of the Jordanian Embassy staff in Delhi.

The exhibition focused on showcasing Jordan as a tourist destination and promoting it among Indian wedding planners, as well as marketing the Kingdom’s tourist and archaeological sites as film shooting locations.

The Jordan Tourism Board continues its efforts at international exhibitions to strengthen Jordan's position as a leading tourism destination and attract more tourists from India and Asian markets by promoting the unique features that make the Kingdom an ideal destination for various types of tourism.
