Maan directorate gears up for Eid Al-Fitr

Clothing and food markets in Maan are seeing more customers as the Eid Al-Fitr holiday approaches. The director of Maan Governorate’s Industry and Trade Directorate, Suhaila Al-Badour, told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Sunday that the demand for clothes, shoes, and eid supplies has increased, accompanied by an increase in prices. Demand for eid sweets and household necessities has also increased. She added that the vast majority of merchants and establishments have remained committed to following defense orders and not price gouging. The governorate has only found three instances of shops violating safety measures, she said. The directorate has prepared a plan to monitor bakeries and pastry shops, starting on the second day of eid, in order to make sure food and bread remains available. Badour called on citizens to provide the directorate with any complaints, violations, or shortages they might encounter.
