AMMAN — On Saturday, the
Mafraq Agriculture Directorate called on people
in the governorate to save the seeds of fruits, such as peaches, melons,
cherries, apricots, and grapes by washing, drying, and storing them in paper
bags to planting.

Director, Imad Al-Ayasra, told the Jordan News Agency,
Petra, on Saturday, that the seeds could be planted in open areas, where they
could help expanded green spaces in the
Kingdom.
Ayasra said that Thailand and Malaysia have had
success with doubling the number of fruit trees in the wild through programs
such as this targeting citizens.
