Media literacy workshop held for youth

AMMAN  — The Ramtha Youth Center of the Irbid Youth Directorate on Monday organized a workshop on media and information literacy, with the attendance of 20 participants.اضافة اعلان

The trainer, Ahmad Abweni, addressed the importance of media and information education for citizens and youth, after rapid technological advances that have increased the opportunity for misinformation.

He said that media and information education helps young people deal correctly with the media, create distinctive content through various tools, and and how to deal with different media, especially social media.

The head of the Ramtha Youth Center, Rawan Al-Zoubi, stressed the importance of young men and women acquiring critical thinking skills, and thus increasing their ability to verify news to limit the spread of false rumors and misinformation, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
