The ministry
said in a statement Monday that during inspection visits of 1,020 facilities
across the country, inspectors issued warnings to 104 facilities, while the
remaining 787 facilities were found to be in compliance with preventive health
measures and safety standards.
It said the
inspections particularly targeted shops serving the hookah, and took legal
action against those who were in violation of the health protocols and
regulations of the ministries of tourism and labor.
The
statement urged tourist facilities and customers to observe preventive measures
under the defense orders that were issued during the COVID-19 pandemic,
including physical distancing, wearing masks and serving hookah in open spaces.
