PSD director meets UK envoy to Jordan

AMMAN — Public Security Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Al-Hawatmeh on Tuesday received the UK Ambassador to Jordan Bridget Brind to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the public security teams of both countries, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. اضافة اعلان

Hawatmeh stressed the deep ties between Jordan and the UK, which were boosted by His Majesty King Abdullah, lauding the cooperation and coordination between Jordan’s Public Security Directorate (PSD) and police in the UK, especially in training and the exchange of expertise. 

Hawatmeh added that the PSD seeks to implement its strategic goals based on justice, sovereignty of law, and the respect of human rights by learning from best international practices. 

For her part, Brind commended the level of Jordan’s public security, as well as its security and humanitarian role. She stressed her country’s keenness to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the fields of public security and policing.
