The Pakistani Embassy in Amman held a mango festival earlier
this month at its headquarters, in an effort to introduce and popularize
Pakistani mangoes in the Kingdom.
Attendees observed COVID-19 health protocol, as the event
was divided into a part for public officials and another for businesspeople.
The festival hosted a large number of local dignitaries,
government officials, businesspeople and media personnel who were served slices
of Pakistani mangoes and mango milkshakes.
Speaking at the event, Pakistani Charge de Affaires Taimur
Zulfiqar addressed the history of Jordanian-Pakistani relation, while the
embassy’s Trade and Investment Attaché Khadim Ali gave an overview of Pakistani
mango variants.
Zulfiqar and Ali urged Jordanian businesspeople to explore
the Pakistani produce market, especially mangoes, citrus fruits, food products
and rice.
