In a statement, Abu Fares said that teams from
the Ministry of Health were present at the exhibition and took random samples
from the exhibition's visitors, and that the results were negative.
He added that the exhibition was in constant
contact with the authorities before the exhibition in order to review
procedures, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
He added that the corridors inside the
exhibition this year were changed and widened to allow a better flow of air and
improve social distancing.
Abu Fares called on visitors to the Amman
International Book Fair, which is being held this year as part of the Kingdom's
centenary celebrations, to adhere to safety measures for their own safety and
the safety of all participants.
