Russia cultural center awards scholarships

AMMAN — The Russian Cultural Center recently announced that 110 Jordanian students will receive full scholarships to pursue education in Russia. These scholarships apply to students pursuing both undergraduate bachelor’s degrees and postgraduate master’s and doctorate degrees in various disciplines, including medicine, dentistry, engineering, journalism and media, and political science. The director of the center, Alexei Bokin, said that these grants are provided by the Russian government to Jordan on an annual basis, explaining that the students receiving the scholarship will receive a monthly salary as well as affordable housing and health insurance. He also stated that providing such grants to Jordan on an annual basis reflects the depth of cultural relations between the two countries.
