According to a statement from the municipality, the agreement was signed during Al-Rawajeh’s participation in the "Crafts and Folk Arts Forum for Cities (UNESCO Creative Cities Network)" currently taking place in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement aims to establish a framework for mutual cooperation between the two sides to enhance the exchange of experiences and direct communication with the leaders of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. This will allow for discussions on innovative ideas for future cities and support the activities of member cities at both the local and international levels, contributing to the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

The agreement will strengthen cooperation in areas such as the transfer of knowledge between artisans in both cities, encourage those interested in Al-Ahsa to study mosaic art and restoration in Madaba, and promote participation in training courses held at the institute. Additionally, it will support the exchange of knowledge, organize annual meetings, open new markets for artisans, and preserve heritage.
