The Ministry of Environment, in cooperation with the
Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) and the
International Finance Corporation (IFC), held an event on Tuesday on best global practices in bird protection

During the event, the Ministry of Environment and the RSCN went over safeguards put in place to protect migratory birds from wind turbines in Jordan, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
A regional representative of Birdlife International also spoke about the migratory pattern of birds passing through the Kingdom on their way south and north.
An expert on biodiversity at the International Finance Corporation, also spoke on Jordan's efforts in applying international standards, pointing out that international practices for estimating mortality cases will make the Kingdom the first country in the region to have been able to implement all international standards throughout the country.
