The march aimed to shed light on the issue of climate change and its negative effects on the planet, and to draw attention to the most affected ecosystems in Jordan, such as reserves and the Dead Sea.
It also aimed to highlight the role of Jordanian youth in creating an environmentally safe future through local policies, and encouraging the use of sustainable transportation, such as walking instead of using cars to reduce emissions.
The march, numbering 30 participants, will cross a distance of 350km over a period of five days — most of the governorates of the Kingdom — starting from the city of Madaba and passing through Karak, then Tafila, and ending in the Aqaba Governorate.
