AMMAN — The
Vocational Training Institute for Women in Maan has launched a number of training courses for women with the aim of helping them find employment.

The director of the institute, Ihab Al-Aqaleh, told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, today, on Wednesday, that 60 male and female trainees aged 16 to 35 years old were registered for courses on sewing, cosmetology, computer, and packaging for men and women.
After completing the training courses, the trainees receive an approved training certificate.
He pointed out that the Institute of Excellence for Renewable Energy of the Vocational Training Corporation launched a new one-year course in the field of solar panel operation, adding that 12 trainees joined that course to acquire these skills.
Aqayleh indicated that through the support of the Vocational Training Corporation and the former
Maan Governorate Council, the sewing and beautification workshops in the institute were modernized and equipped, and a complete maintenance of the institute’s facilities were carried out at a cost of JD30,000.
He added that the institute’s Graduate Female Follow-up Unit coordinates with the private sector, searches for job opportunities, and directs female graduates towards jobs after they leave the center.
