Jordan's Politics and Society Institute (PSI) , in cooperation with the
German Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), concluded a workshop at the Dead Sea, dubbed "Youth and Election: A Roadmap for Beyond the Recommendations of the Royal Committee to Modernize the Political System", the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Speaking at the event, PSI's Executive Director, Rasha Fatean, said participants presented insights on the committee's outcomes and implementation of its recommendations pertaining to the Elections Law, adding that discussions also touched on exchanging views aimed to draw a road map following this stage.
For his part, PSI's Project Coordinator Hussein Sarayrah said the participants demanded a "clear" timeframe and performance indicators to the committee’s recommendations to ensure implementation of its outcomes and to launch a mechanism to positively deal with the final electoral insights.
The workshop discussed the preliminary outcomes and the main insights of the
election committee, especially with regard to the closed national party proportional list, the scenario of granting constituency-based quotas to parties, and challenges facing the new electoral law, according to a PSI statement.
