The Jordan Meteorological Department issued a report that includes several warnings: children should never be left inside a closed vehicle, even for a brief period of time; perfumes, sterilizers, and flammable materials should never be left inside cars; high temperatures should not be allowed to affect the health of the elderly or sick; and fires in forested areas should be avoided.
Temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 38 degrees Celsius and a low of 25 degrees.
Highs in the port city of Aqaba will reach 47 degrees Celsius during the day, sliding to 30 degrees at night.
