The Jordan Meteorological Department has warned about the dangers of direct sun exposure during peak hours, the health risks posed by high temperatures to patients and the elderly, and the increased likelihood of fires in forested areas.

On Thursday, the hot conditions will persist across most regions, with extremely high temperatures continuing in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will remain northwesterly and moderate, occasionally becoming active.

A slight decrease in temperatures is anticipated on Friday. The weather will be relatively hot in most areas, but evening conditions will be favorable for outdoor activities, particularly in mountainous regions. However, it will remain very hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate, sometimes becoming active and potentially stirring up dust in desert areas.

Today's maximum and minimum temperatures are as follows: East Amman will see temperatures between 36-24 degrees Celsius, West Amman between 34-22, the northern highlands between 32-20, Sharah highlands between 32-21, the Dead Sea between 44-28, and the Gulf of Aqaba between 45-30 degrees Celsius.
