Amman - Saturday will see a slight drop in temperatures, as the weather will remain somewhat hot almost countrywide, and hotter in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

In its report, the JMD warns of the danger of exposure to direct sunlight, as well as fires in forest areas, and leaving children unattended inside closed vehicles, even for a short period.
On Sunday, effect of the heat wave will subside countrywide and another drop in temperatures is forecast to record around their seasonal levels and the weather will be moderate over the mountainous areas and plains, and relatively hot to hot in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
As for Monday, temperatures will continue to drop and the weather will be clear and moderate almost nationwide.
Also today, temperatures in the capital Amman will hit a high of 37 degrees Celsius and a low of 20?, while the port city of Aqaba will see a scorching 45?, sliding to 27? at night.
