Having
spent nearly two decades in the corporate world before embarking on a journey
of curiosity and discovery, I consider being a Street Blogger as the highlight
of my professional career. This shift into street blogging has enabled me to
present myself as a dynamic and conscientious content creator, committed to
sharing my experiences with the world.
Streets
have always fascinated me, in my youth, I was hooked on watching travel shows
and journeys of people around the world exploring indigenous cultures.
Consequently, I felt destined to take the road less traveled and publicly share
my street experiences.
Street bloggers take pictures and videos, posting them on their blogs or social media platforms, along with commentary and stories about what they see.
Let
me start by defining what street blogging is, for those of you who are not so
familiar with the terminology in the digital world. Street Blogging was
originally derived from photographing and capturing Street Style fashion that evolved from the street and not from
runway shows or designers. Nowadays, it is a form of blogging that focuses on
broader dimensions such as culture, lifestyle, and events in a particular city
or street. Topics can include fashion, food, local businesses,
art, music, and everyday life.

Blogging is an excellent way to connect with locals and learn more about a
country.
What
makes this type of
blogging so powerful is that it promotes and encourages new
concepts such as cultural intelligence. It can be practiced in a local or
global destination, and it is accessible to everyone. Meaning, yes, anyone can
do it!
Yes, we live in an age of avatars and metaverse, where AI applications are taking control of our lives, yet the streets are returning back-to-basics and offer a reality check amid this high-tech race.

we live in an age of avatars and metaverse, where AI
applications are taking control of our lives, yet the streets are returning
back-to-basics and offer a reality check amid this high-tech race. To humanize
the experience, much of the content I create involves storytelling and
people-to-people connections.
Recently,
I had a revitalizing street encounter with a Swiss street photographer who also
happens to be working and a resident in Jordan for the past two years. During
our brief meeting, we discussed the perception of
street culture in the Arab world, and he invited me to the opening of his photo exhibition, which includes
some original works from his travels around the world. I am often asked about
the added value of the work I do, and such street stories are the reason why I
keep doing it.
The rewards of sharing untold stories and understanding the differences that unite us as human beings are the main factors that led me to become a street blogger.

Amman, or simply in need of recommendations for the best co-working places, I

This
is an interactive platform where we will team up with other bloggers and
content creators to come up with the latest street stories and trends, and we
