The Royal Film Commission is screening three documentaries at its headquarters
off of
Rainbow Street this week.

The showings,
coordinated by The Cultural Affairs Team at the
US embassy in Amman, are all
free of charge. Viewers must be either fully vaccinated or have received the
first dose at least 21 days prior and need to wear masks inside the space.
Visitors should also plan to arrive by 7:30pm to abide by all safety measures.

This documentary
follows the story of Forrest, an eighteen-year old who suffered a
life-threatening brain injury in a snowboarding accident. The injury leaves him
unable to speak or move for nearly two years — until an innovative music
teacher helps him find his voice.
The 90-minute
documentary was directed by
Emmy-award-winning filmmaker Susan Koch and
released in 2020. The film will be followed by a discussion with music
therapist Jack Sarkis.

Netizens, first
screened at Tribeca Film Festival in 2018, features three women facing online
abuse and harassment. The film explores the toll that cyber harassment can take
on its victims and also demonstrates the way that the internet has become a
crucial part of our everyday lives.
The documentary
will be followed by a discussion with Noura Saket, legal consultant and gender
specialist at the International Labour Organization.
