In a voice message to ET Bel Arabi, Saad stated:
"These are paid and false campaigns. There is too much talk and nonsense on social media. This is the first time I’m speaking about it because I usually prefer to stay silent. I don’t like pointing to my success or discussing viewership numbers because I respect the efforts of my colleagues who create amazing work that I enjoy watching."

He added:
"Unfortunately, in today’s world of social media dominance, silence is often misunderstood. There are paid campaigns aimed at shaping false impressions and spreading misleading narratives. Our audience is kind-hearted, but with all this noise, they can sometimes be misled."

The controversy began after Saad shared a promotional image from his upcoming series "Sayed El-Nas", which some viewers felt resembled scenes from Mohamed Ramadan’s previous works. This quickly led to comparisons between the two stars, prompting Saad to respond with strong statements about "real stardom" and the influence of social media trends. Meanwhile, Ramadan subtly hinted— as he often does— that he remains the number one star.

"Sayed El-Nas" features a star-studded cast, including Ilham Shaheen, Ahmed Zaher, Khaled El-Sawy, Ahmed Rizk, Injy El-Mokaddem, Bushra, Rana Raeis, Reem Mostafa, Menna Fadali, Ahmed Fahim, and Salwa Othman. Written by Workshop Qalam and directed by Mohamed Sami, the series is set in a rural Egyptian village, highlighting the struggles and daily lives of its inhabitants in an emotional and suspenseful drama.
