After causing a stir with her comments about her marriage to Egyptian singer Tamer Hosny and her sense of freedom after the divorce, Moroccan actress and singer Basma Bousil made a new explosive statement. She revealed that her children have been living with her alone for the past five years.

Basma posted on her Instagram Stories in response to a video by Egyptian blogger Marwa Metwally, who analyzed a comment Tamer Hosny’s daughter Talia made regarding her parents' separation. Basma wrote: “I will file a lawsuit against you for the stories you are fabricating… My children have been living with me alone for 5 years."
She continued, "As for my daughter, I am the home," adding, "Your analysis will be useful to you in court, God willing."
In the video, blogger Marwa Metwally analyzed a post by Talia, Tamer Hosny’s daughter, where Talia wrote that "the home is the mother" and referred to "freedom" in her other posts. Marwa stated that Basma had made a mistake by revealing family secrets, which led some to believe that Talia was defending her mother.
Marwa also suggested that some people think Basma is encouraging her children to turn against their father and claimed that it is Basma's account that publishes Talia’s posts.
Legal Threat
Basma Bousil declared her intention to take strict legal action against those spreading rumors. She emphasized that she would not allow anyone to distort her statements or take them out of context.
This legal threat came after a whirlwind of reactions on social media in recent days over Basma’s comments about Tamer Hosny. Fans on both sides, supporting either Basma or her ex-husband, engaged in heated debates.
Basma’s statements about her marriage to the Egyptian star even drew the attention of Egyptian media figures, including TV presenter Hala Sarhan, who publicly addressed Basma in a post. Sarhan wrote: “Shame on you, you think you're playing with Tamer Hosny. Do you think you're the virtuous one with good morals?”
Sarhan continued, “You married him for fame, thinking he was your stepping stone, but others were smarter. It was just a bubble that burst by itself. The mountain isn’t shaken by the wind.”
In response, Basma sharply criticized Sarhan, accusing her of hosting shows based on fabricated stories and selling illusions. She also remarked, “It seems Hala Sarhan is going through a crisis of losing the spotlight, so she decided to return to the scene in a cheap way by spreading racism and incitement. Unfortunately, some media figures resort to cheap tactics when their stars fade.”
