Recently, the Japanese island of Hokkaido experienced unprecedented snowfall, leading to disruptions in traffic and airport closures.

Among the videos shared on social media, there was one showing a city disappearing under a massive layer of snow, with residents shoveling snow and clearing paths, while passengers were seen pushing vehicles stuck in the snow.

Reports stated that the snow level in one of the cities on Hokkaido Island reached 120 centimeters in just one day.

The Japan Meteorological Agency predicted snowfall of up to 100 centimeters in the northwest of Japan, with another 50 centimeters expected in Hokkaido, within the next 24 hours until Wednesday evening.
